By now you have probably heard all about Green Tea; heralded lately on daytime TV as the closest thing to a miracle drink the western world has ever seen; something that the Chinese have know for millennia. Perhaps a little arrogantly we have dismissed the benefits of the drink and little more than mystical mumbo jumbo, but guess what? Clinical scientific studies have started to make a mockery of that and Green Tea could actually be one of the most health beneficial things you can drink.

But what exactly is Green Tea and how can it do all this?
Well, Scientists are now attributing the miraculous healing benefits of green tea to the high concentration of antioxidants found in both the tea leaves in the wild and the steeped tea that we drink. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, which naturally occurring harmful atoms in the human body, putting an end to their reactivity in our bodies. Generally, we eat our antioxidants as they are found in fruits and vegetables, and, not surprisingly, in tea. But studies show that green tea has 8-10 times more antioxidants than fruits and vegetables.
So if you are looking fro something to replace your coffee fix you good do a lot worse than opt for Green Tea. After all 1.3 Billion Chinese cant all be wrong!
