Best Golf Shoes For Plantar Fasciitis

by Rob

If you’re a keen golfer like me but suffer from plantar fasciitis it can really add a few strokes on to your game. Well, that’s my excuse anyway. In all seriousness, plantar fasciitis is such a terrible condition to have if you’re a golfer you basically can’t get around without a cart. Not all of us are lucky enough to have these facilities and so we’re forced to look elsewhere for relief. If you’ve looked online for the best golf shoes for plantar fasciitis you’ve probably been left a little disappointed by what’s on offer. No major brand seems to create a shoe specifically for this purpose. The best thing I can recommend  is to firstly make sure you buy shoes which fit properly. It sounds basic I know but you’ll be surprised at how many people buy shoes simply because they’re on sale or because of the way they look. This won’t do you any good at the end of the day when you can hardly walk back to the club house for the 19th hole! So first things first, get shoes that fit you properly.

The next step is to take a look at golfing orthotics. There a number of companies out there who specialize in this field and make orthotics you can buy off the shelf and slip into your shoes. This is the cheap option and if you’re serious about this I would recommend that you visit a doctor in this field and have one specially made for your feet. They will make an imprint of your feet and that way you can be guaranteed that it will fit exactly against your feet. It’s a good idea to get this done before you buy the shoes so that you can try the shoes on with the orthotic in place. The last thing you want is to buy new shoes which no longer fit you once you replace the insole with the orthotic! So, with a combination of good fitting shoes and orthotics you can find the best golf shoes for plantar fasciitis!

Hi
I have plantar fasciitis myself for a few months now. My podiatrist prescribed me with Custom made orthotics which did not work at all. I found very good shoe advice in this web site:
