Rosacea, one major cause of facial redness

by Rob

Do you feel embarrassed by the rashes on your cheeks? Are you one of the fourteen million people nationwide who suffer from Rosacea? Rosacea is a condition which can be recognized by severe redness in the face. Typically, it focuses around the cheeks, nose and forehead and sometimes it can also create red pimples or bumps in the affected area. It can also cause a rigorously red and inflamed nose in a person. All these symptoms of Rosacea can make anybody embarrassed about his appearance. People often confuse rosacea with acne but it’s definitely not acne and it’s a very different skin condition but it is actually possible to have both at the same time.

Rosacea is generally identified by rashes on the skin. These rashes are generally affected by the sun, stress, lack of sleep, caffeine or alcohol consumption, immune system disorders and many more. It’s hard to pin point what exactly started causing rosacea with you but it’s important to apply proper  rosacea skin care as soon as possible to limit the impact on your skin.

Also if you’re looking for cosmetics for rosacea to mask the redness on your face it’s important to point out that not every cosmetic might work well because you might have allergies to certain products. You will have to try out many variants of the product most likely. It’s possible your doctor can help you with this so make sure to ask him. Also, when trying out a rosacea cosmetics make sure to start only using it on isolated areas of your face so if you do get some side effects it’s very easy to point out its because of the product and not something else.

If you treat rosacea very quickly when you first start showing symptoms of it it’s possible to greatly lessen the impact of the redness. This is very important because it’s very hard to get rid of rosacea permanently once it starts gaining ground!

IPL (intensed pulsed light) lasers are a good solution for rosacea. These are the same type of lasers used for hair removal. It’s similar to a photofacial.
